LAMB FOR TROOPS

Sale To Be Completed (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 6. Representatives of the United States Forces Procurement Agency in Yokohama will be in Wellington next week to complete arrangements for the purchase of up to $500,000 worth of New Zealand lamb for resale through United States military commissaries overseas. The purchase was announced by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) last November. It is believed the team will arrive in Wellington at the week-end.

This will be the second procurement of New Zealand lamb. Most of the first purchase was sent to American troop commissaries in West Germany.
