Baby Meets The Press
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) GENEVA, Jan. 4. The actress, Sophia Loren, today presented her week-old son. Carlo, to the world’s press at a hectic news conference at the Geneva Cantonal Hospital. Several hundred reporters and photographers kept the 34-year-old star and her film producer husband, Carlo Ponti, in a small lecture theatre at the hospital for 45 minutes. Miss Loren, propped up in an iron-framed hospital bed, cradled the baby in her arms. She said her son’s birth would change her life completely. “I did not think it would before but I am convinced it will, now that he is born,” she said.
