U.S. Dairy Report

O’.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 6. The latest United States Tariff Commission report on dairy products is expected to be received in Wellington within a week. The report had been expected during the second half of November. The cause of the delay is not known. After the commission issued its report in 1967 New Zealand’s colby and Cheddar cheese exports to the United States were cut by more than a third—from 14,000 tons to 4000 tons. Exports of frozen cream were limited to llm gallons. There is a feeling in some circles that New Zealand may be more favourably treated this time.
