Mclntyre Top Bowler
The young Worcestershire professional, G. M. Turner (Otago) j has the highest batting aggregate, and J. M. Mclntyre (Canterbury) is the leading wicket-taker with half of the Plunket Shield cricket programme completed.
Turner has scored 307 runs I at an average of 61.4 an innings, and Mclntyre has taken 16 wickets at 14.6 runs! apiece. , With scores of 30, 71 and 133, M. J. F. Shrimpton (Central Districts) has the best batting average at 78.0. Next is B. F. Hastings (Canterbury) on 70.2. The pair are well clear of the others. The notable feature of the batting has been the large number of players compiling big totals. G. E. Vivian (Auckland) leads the bowling averages.
