LORD SNOWDON SELECTS WELSH DESIGN.—The Earl of Snowdon holding an earthenware mug with a Welsh dragon design, which was one of the winners in a competition for well-designed souvenirs of the investiture of the Prince of Wales at Caernarvon Castle in July. A panel of 11 judges, led by Lord Snowdon, inspected 160 souvenirs, including ceramics, glass, jewellery, and metalware. The competition was organised by the Council of Industrial Design and the Welsh Office, in association with the Wales Tourist Board.
