OCEAN RACE

(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) HOBART. The New Zealand sloops Arapawa and Renegade are fighting out the lead in the Hobart to Wellington yacht race. Twenty-four hours after the start of the race the two yachts reported their positions as 136 miles east of Tasman Island. A storm warning was posted in Hobart yesterday for yachts competing in the race.

Yesterday afternoon the three craft in the race were al’ about 100 miles east-north-east of Tasman Bay. Wind conditions were fresh from the south-west.
