$500 THEFT

Part Of Coin Collection New Zealand coins worth $5OO, part of a collection, were stolen when a house in Nairn Street was broken into between December 31 and yesterday. A transistor radio worth $BO was also taken. Scout badges worth $3.60 were stolen when the Richmond scout den in Stanmore Road was broken into between Boxing Day and yesterday, and a house in Greers Road was thoroughly searched after it had been broken into be'tween Christmas Day and yesterday. Two complete wheel assemblies were stolen from a car parked near a house in Buchan Street on Friday night, $29 and a transistor radio worth $2O were taken when a house in Edgeware Road was broken into on Thursday night. A transistor radio worth $2O was taken from a car parked in Churchill Street on New Year’s Eve, a radio worth $3O has been stolen from the Y.M.C.A. hostel in Rolleston Avenue, and $35 was taken from a house in Winnipeg Place between Boxing Day and yesterday. A radio was stolen from a car at Okains Bay on January 2 and a wallet containing $9.35 was taken from a car in Christchurch. The wallet has since been recovered.
