Obituary MR T. J. BOYLE
Mr T. J. Boyle, one of New Zealand’s leading jumping riders of the 19405, died in Invercargill yesterday. Mr Boyle was one of the first horsemen of the Hazlett stable in Invercargill and during his association with that stable rode the winner of the Riverton Racing Club’s Great Western Steeplechase for five years in succession and also won the 1947 Grand National Hurdles, on Boolamskee.
He was the son of Mr P. Boyle, a racing owner and trainer for more than 40 years.
