Disciplinary Action Taken ■; (N.Z. Press Association) I WELLINGTON, Dec. 18. An item, intended to be humorous, which was broadcast over the country session on one South Island radio station on December 13. had been in poor taste, the Minister of Broadcasting (Mr Adams-Schneider) said in Parliament today. . Mr Adams-Schneider was • replying to an urgent question |by Mr R. L. S. Talbot (Nat.. [ Ashburton), who was enquiring about a statement that [“New Zealand has been fortunate to palm off its dog tucker ewe mutton to Japan." He alleged it was made on the countrv session on December 13. The Minister said the matter had been investigated by the N.Z.B.C. and the statement. which was intended to be humorous, had been found not to be so. Disciplinary action had been taken. [ Hangi Planned.—Rapaki I Maoris and guests will hold ia church service, followed by ia hangi and Maori entertainment, at Rapaki on Sunday, I December 29. The function [will be to help raise funds [for the Rapaki church centen:[erary, to be held early next I May.
