Fast Scoring In Cricket
S. Lafatania, an Islander who plays for the Woolston Working Men’s Club in the Suburban third grade D competition, scored a whirlwind century against the Christchurch Working Men’s Club at Woolston Park last Saturday. Lafatania hit 11 sixes and eight fours, scoring 111 during his 45 minutes at the wicket. He lost three balls during his innings and it is estimated that at least 15 minutes of his innings was spent in neighbouring gardens looking for the ball.
