Slight Burns To Hands

A 13J-year-old boy suffered slight burns' to the hands when a potting shed at the Hohepa Homes School, 23 Barrington Street, caught fire last evening. He was treated by a doctor. A hose reel and two hand appliances were used to fight the fire, only 15ft from the home, until firemen on two engines arrived. The matchlining of the shed burnt fiercely, but the firemen put the blaze out before it could damage the home. The alarm was given at 8.47 p.m.
