CONGRESS PARTY

Antarctic Visit Four United States Congressmen, aIL members of the House Armed Services Committee, arrived in Christchurch yesterday and three of them will go to the Antarctic today to inspect American bases. They are Mr P. Hardy (Democrat, Virginia); Mr C. Hallerk (Republican, Indiana); Mr W. Dickenson (Republican, Alabama). The fourth Congressman, Mr O. Pike (Democrat, New York) will not go to the Antarctic. The Congressmen are visiting ' various overseas countries to study United States commitments. Another Congressional group is expected to visit the Antarctic later in the season.
