RUSSIA’S NEWEST LINER the Shota Rustaveli (26,000 tons), which will arrive at Auckland shortly, during her round-the-world maiden voyage. A special plaque from the City of Auckland will be presented to Captain Elisbar Gogitidze by the Mayor to mark the visit of the first Russian liner to Auckland. The liner is under charier to the Charier Travel Club, which claims to offer fares up to 30 per cent cheaper than those charged by established shipping lines.
