Profit Lew Suggested ‘ (N.Z. Press Association) ) WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. Private radio and television stations should contribute a .proportion of profits towards ithe cost of the N.Z.B.C. Symphony Orchestra and other cultural activities of the N.Z.B.C. says a resolution passed by the corporation's [Wellington staff committee today. The resolution says that the Broadcasting Authority Bill should stipulate that the contribution from the private (stations be at a rate comparable with the support given to these activities at present by the commercial division of the corporation. ( The staff committee also ! wants assurances -from the corporation that the interests of employees will be safeguarded and that appropriate (steps will be taken to ensure that conditions and salary (scales will not be underj mined by any new provisions enacted by Parliament.
