National representatives of [freezing workers’ unions and (the meat and wool council of | Federated Farmers met in ; Wellington today for a discussion of mutual problems facing the industry ; In a joint statement after [the meeting, the Dominion chairman of the meat and wool council (Mr F. G. Spackman) and the president of the Wellington Freezing Workers' Union (Mr F. B. Thorn), representing all the unions concerned, said that the meeting had been a cordial exchange of viewpoints and would be the forerunner of other meetings. It was the first time these two sectors of the meat industry had met nationally.
