SERIOUS INJURIES

Family In Hospital fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 17. Two young children and their parents were in a serious condition in the Hutt Hospital tonight after their car and another collided on the Hutt road about 11.10 a.m. today. They are Mr and Mrs I. G. McCrone and their daughters, Janice, aged 10, and Elizabeth, seven, of Moohan Street, Wainuiomata. Mr McCrone suffered severe chest and internal injuries, severe facial cuts, concussion, and shock. Mrs McCrone has a broken left wrist, a severe injury to her right eye, and severe cuts to her knees and face.

Both Janice and Elizabeth are believed to have suffered a broken pelvis. Janice also has internal injuries, facial cuts, concussion and shock, and Elizabeth has a broken left leg and severe bruising. The driver of the other car, Mr J. McKnight, of Sefton Street, Wadestown, escaped with minor cuts to his face and head, and shock.
