Church Car Stolen

A 1964 Austin mini car, valued at §lOOO, which is used by Sister Alice Swan, Deaconess of Knox Church, Bealey Avenue, for church social and welfare work, is still missing.

The locked car was stolen from outside the home of Sister Swan, at 79 Waimea Terrace, on November 5.

“The loss of the car is a severe set-back. I walked and used buses for ’a few days, but at present I have a rental car,” Sister Swan said yesterday. Painted pale green, the car is registered AP7416. Any person knowing where it is, is asked to get in touch with the nearest police station.
