I two missing Murchison huntters has been found 30ft above the Buller River. The men. Norman Germain and Leslie Penman, both i linemen, disappeared op a hunting expedition on September 14. It is believed the ‘men drowned when they attempted a canoe crossing of (the Buller River at its junction with Deepdale Creek. 14 j miles south of Murchison. Searchers at the time
found two paddles from the i canoe, but no other trace of ■‘the men. ■j The badly-battered section I of the canoe was found on Saturday by an fnangahua ■ farmer and it was reported ' to Constable S.
