GRANT FOR WOOL
Board Makes New Proposal

WELLINGTON, Nov. 18.
The Wool Board has made a new approach to the Government for aid to supplement its contribution to the research and promotion work of the International Wool Secretariat. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said today that last week the board made further representations for support which were a “variation” of its original proposal. The board’s original request was for a $4.5m cash grant to supplement its increased contributions to the I.W.S. The Prime Minister would not give details of the 'latest Wool Board proposal.
