WOOL-PRICE LEVELS
No Concern In Bradford (N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) LONDON, November 13. No concern at. the level of prices reached by New Zealand wool this season was heard by the New Zealand. High Commissioner in London (Sir Denis Blundell) during a visit to Bradford late last. week. He said today that he did, however, find some anxiety that the curve of prices should not continue to go “right up”. He had found that “price instability” was a problem which worried the industry. Guest Speaker Sir Denis Blundell was the guest speaker at an annual dinner held by Bradford wool interests, and while in the district visited several textile factories. “I got the clear impression that the wool trade is flourishing—that it is using up-to-date methods and that the industry as a whole is forward thinking,” he said. Sir Denis Blundell also inspected the International Wool Secretariat’s research unit at llklev. “I was surprised at the extent of the facilities there. There are many young and highly-quali-fied people doing excellent work on means of improving woollen goods.” he said.
