Polish Products Dearer
(By Our Grocery Reporter) Because of increasing costs wax and cream polish products from C.O. Products, Ltd, will be dearer in future. The distributors of D.Y.C. vinegar have also announced price increases.
The prices of C.O. waxshine mjmbeis 6 and 7 have been increased by 3c to 23c, and 35c respectively. Number 9 has risen in price from 52c to 56c. "Medium-size bottles of C.O. lustre cream will now cost 36c, an increase of 4c. The large bottles will cost 58c instead of 52c. New prices for pints, quarts, and half-gallons of D.Y.C. vinegar are 18c, 24c and 62c respectively. The increases are Ic, 2c and 4c. New Asparagus.— One major cannery is making a small allocation of the new season’s.
asparagus. It is a 16oz tin of tips. There have been no price alterations. Slam Rice. — New season's prices are being quoted for Siamese rice. It is some time since Siamese rice has been available. A shipment is not expected until the end of this month and stocks would not be here until the New Year. Pink Salmon.— Shipments of Canadian and Japanese salmon are coming to hand shortly. Stocks at present are low. Pink salmon is the most popular grade in New Zealand. Agents for Japanese canners say that the pink pack was well down on the previous season. They suggest that importers with a licence balance should place orders promptly.
