Bowlers In i S. Africa IN.Z.P.A -Reuter—Copyright) SPRINGS I The New Zealand bowlers beat Eastern Transvaal, 2-1, in the first completed match of their South African tour yesterday. They won the pairs and fours but lost the singles. In the pairs, P. C. Skoglund and C. Simon defeated Eastern Transvaal, 12-10, the result being in doubt until the final wood. The New Zealand four—G. J. Jolly (skip). H. H. J. Robson, W. R. Wilkinson and W. D. Scott—took control from the start and won 23-12. In the singles, P. E. B. Jones went down, 3-22. He could not find his weight and was off target even with his heavy shots.
The team will play Rhodesia in Salisbury tomorrow'.
