West Arm Strike Now Over
(NZ Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Nov. 13. The West Arm strike is over. Manapouri powerproject workers deciding this morning to go back to their jobs at midnight tonight.
The entire labour force of 770 men downed tools at 3 p.m. on Monday because two West Arm drivers “jumped” the queue to board a launch taking men out from the site for the week-end.
