By Kempthorne Prosser and Company N.Z. Drug Co., Ltd, Hornby Chemical Works, to take underground water by sinking a cased well approximately 80 feet deep at its Works at Hornby, for the purpose of drawing 720,000 gallons of water per day for industrial use in the manufacture of fertilisers. 2. By Ashley Sawmlling Co., Ltd, to take underground water by sinking a well approximately 30 feet at its mill at Todds Road, Southbrook, for the purpose of drawing 5000 gallons per day for use in log washing and fire fighting. 3. By Poultry Processors North Canterbury, Ltd, to take underground water by sinking a 6in well approximately 44ft at Coldstream Road, Rangiora, for the purpose of drawing 10,000 gallons per day for use in its poultry processing unit. 4. By Superb Plating Works to take underground water by sinking a 4in well at its works at 85 Clarence Street, Christchurch, for the purpose of drawing 2000 gallons of water per day for use in its electro-plating works. 5. By R. A. Samuda to take water from existing wells on his property at Landsdowne Valley, No. 2 R.D., Christchurch, for the purpose of drawing 22,000 gallons of water per day for use in irrigating market gardens and orchards. 8. By E. G. Woods to take water water from the Halswell River (Jones Creek) at his property, Halswell. No. 2 R.D., Christchurch, for the purpose of drawing 400,000 gallons of water per day for use in irrigating pasture and crops from September to May each year. 7. By C. G. Wheeler to take water from Saltwater Creek at his property situated at Sefton, No. 2 R.D., Rangiora, for the purpose of drawing 192,000 gallons of water per day for use in irrigating 119 acres of farm land. 8. By E. G. Woods to take water from the Halswell River at his property situated in Lansdowne Valley, Christchurch 3, for the purpose of drawing 400,000 gallons of water per day for use in irrigating pasture and crops. 9. By E. J. Harrison-Wilkie to take water from existing wells from a drain alongside his property at Revells Road from the Cam River near Youngs Bridge and from Maori Drain in three places, for the purpose of drawing 2.25 acre feet per day use in irrigating pasture and crops. Written objections or submissions concerning the matter supported by statutory declaration will be received at the office of the North Canterbury Catchment Board, 21 Latimer Square, Christchurch, during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last day for reecipt of objections or submissions is December 11, 1968.
