Anastasia A “Fraud”

(N Z P A -Reuter— Copyright) WASHINGTON, Nov 11. Mrs Anna Anderson, who claims to be the heiress to the Russian throne, has been denounced as a fraud by Mrs Maria Rasputin, daughter of the monk, Rasputin, the “Washington Post" said today. Mrs Anderson, who has been living with friends in Charlottesville, Virginia, since July, says she is the Grand Duchess Anastasia, the daughter of Russia’s last Tsar, Nicholas 11.

Maria Rasputin said scars on Mrs Anderson’s body, said to have been bayonet wounds inflicted by the soldiers who slew the Romanov family, had “disappeared" since August, when she affirmed Mrs Anderson was the Grand Duchess.
