Wgtn Publish. Profit Less
The Wellington Publishing Company Ltd, the publisher of the “Dominion” and the “Sunday Times,” earned a profit of $1948, or 1.5 per cent lower at $126,000 in the year to September 30, directors say in a preliminary report. The total dividend has been reduced from 8 to 6 per cent, with a recommended final of 3 per cent, payable December 18, ex December 4. The dividend will require $90,000 and will be covered 1.3 times by profit.
