Polo In The Ring

Polo has gone ahead in Canterbury since the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association first bought a polo team from' the North Island to play at the 1962 show.

Polo will again be one of the ring attractions during the three days of this year’s show, and because of the revived interest in the game in the South Island, the A. and P. Association has decided to stage a NorthSouth contest.

Games will be played on all three days of the show—at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, and at 2.30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

The games will be preceded by a display by Derry’s Band, probably the best-known band of its kind in New Zealand.
