Big Demand For Space
Trade space has been in demand for this year’s show. There will be almost 100 exhibitors, and they have bought more space than they did last year. Trade displays, most of them by farm machinery firms, will occupy 271,000 square feet. About 25,000 square feet of covered space, including Canterbury Court, will be occupied, while sideshows and other entertainments will occupy 60,000 square feet. Business firms, it appears, have found the annual show one of its best “shop windows," but the secretary of the Canterbury A. and P. Association (Mr H. M. Studholme) suggested this week that, with tighter economic conditions, firms were making an effort to “get out and sell.”
