BARNARD IN DUBLIN

(N.Z.P A-Reuter— Copyright) DUBLIN, November 12. Jeering demonstrators greeted Professor Christiaan Barnard, the South African heart transplant pioneer, when he arrived to give a lecture in Dublin last night.

Shouts of “Apartheid out” were hurled at guests as they made their way through a group of about 100 students, many carrying placards with slogans like “Apartheid kills four out of 10 African children in infancy.” Inside he was given a standing ovation when he rose to deliver his lecture on cardiac surgery to 500 members of the medical profession.
