Cycling activity
With the road cycling season lasting longer than usual this year, some of the best amateurs will not be competing on the track much before Christmas. But the cash and novice fields will be well filled. The contests Involving the former national amateur track champion, J. H. Cleary, K. Jeffreys, and the former Australian, A. O’Hagen, in the cash events should provide some exciting racing. M. W. Litolff, a New Zealand amateur track representative, is one of the lead-
Ing road riders who will be in full stride from die start. Although he uses the road racing mostly as training for the track, he will have a heavy programme this week-end. Today he is off the scratch mark in the Harry Saundercock 100 kilometres race and tomorrow he will ride at English Parte.
