A.P.R.A. CHOICE
Eight “finalists” have been selected for the 1968 A.P.R.A. Silver Scroll award, offered by the Australasian Performing Right Association for wbat Its judges consider to be the best popular composition by a New Zealander first recorded or telecast during the last year. With their songs, they are: Jim Campbell (Hamilton), “Lonely Sailor from the Sea” and “Pania”; Ray Columbus (Auckland), “Happy in a Sad Kind of Way”; Johnny Cooper (Levin), “Break the World in Two”; Anita and Geof Crocker (Auckland), “Three Little Men”; Dave Jordan (Wellington), “I Shall Take My Leave”; Wayne Mason and Alistair Richardson (Upper Hutt), “Come With Me”; Claude Papesch (Auckland), “Just One Tender Look.”
