N.Z. Open Entries

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Twenty-two overseas professional golfers have so far entered the field for the New Zealand Open at Christchurch at the end of this month. In all, 100 entries have been received by the secretary of the national council (Mr D. G. Sutton), only 20 short of the maximum, and entries do not close until 5 p.m. today. Among the latest to enter are P. W. Thomson, J. J. Sullivan, G. Marsh, R. Flood, and R. J. Shaw (Australia), M. Bembridge, G. B. Wolstenhohne, and I Richardson (Britain),, and S. Hennings (United States). As yet, no entry has been received from the New Zealander, W. J. Godfrey.

Skl-Ing Event.—The New Zealand Ski Council has fixed the date for the 1969 national championships as September, 1969. The event will be held at Ruapehu and the exact date will be decided in May. 1969.
