RETURN TO SEA

Captain H. G. Robertson (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 4. Captain H. G. Robertson, the former master of the inter-island steamer Wahine, has gone back to sea. In command of the 3500-ton cargo vessel Kowhai, he slipped quietly out of Mount Maunganui as darkness fell last night. It was exactly 175 days since the Wahine sank in Wellington Harbour. Revealing Captain Robertson’s new command today, the Union Steam Ship Company described the Kowhai as “one of our typical Tasman traders.” The Kowhai is carrying newsprint and timber products from Tauranga. It will reload with general cargj in Australia for the return trip. The Kowhai is bound for Sydney and New South Wales ports. It is scheduled to return to Auckland in a month.
