Price Rises For All Grades
(N.Z. Preus Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 4. Despite increased pitchings of home-killed lamb, there was a fair inuiry for New Zealand lamb on Smithfield market this week, the Meat Board reports. Prices increased for all grades. The main grade (prime 29/361b) was quoted at 31d to 31jd per lb. or Jd higher than last week. The main grade of New Zealand hogget (49/561b) was quoted at 18d to 20d per lb, and wethers at 15Jd to 17d per lb. Ewe mutton was quoted at 13d per lb.

There was a moderate inquiry for light supplies of New Zealand boneless beef cuts.
