(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 4. Recent clashes between Mexican students and Government troops could not be blamed on the students alone, but on completely “alien elements,” according to Mr Henryk Szeryng; a world-famous concert violinist, and a naturalised Mexican. Mr Szeryng said these elements had taken advantage of the students' legitimate demand for more participation in government, and had used them for their own subversive activities. “I know personally several of the student leaders—they are responsible, intelligent men and they are Mexican patriots,” he said.
