6V.Z. Pre** AuoctatioiU WELLINGTON, Oct. 3. An injured man was swung to safety suspended from a 60ft crane in the heart of Wellington early this afternoon. Mr John Hall, married, of Travis Road, Christchurch, suffered two broken legs, a broken ann and possible internal injuries in an accident at the top of Kings Chambers. The building is being demolished and Mr Hall was injured in a rubble fall Using a wooden door as a stretcher, workmen and Wellington Free Ambulance staff combined to swing Mr Hall from the top of the building on to a makeshift stretcher and lower him to the pavement He was transferred into the waiting ambulance and rushed to Wellington Hos pital.
