Ensign Is Flying

(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A) ACAPULCO.

The New Zealand Red Ensign hangs from the balcony of the yachting team’s headquarters in the magnificent Hotel Caleta at Acapulco. The yachtsmen did not bring a flag with them but obtained the ensign from the Northern Star when the liner unloaded the New Zealanders’ runabout on September 21. “It was the next best thing to the New Zealand flag itself, and we are very proud of it,” the manager, Mr H. D. Poole, said. “I only wish it would blow a bit more strongly because then we would feel happier about the wind conditions out in the bay.”
