CARDIGAN BAY

No Stamp This Year (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. A special postage stamp to mark the feat of Cardigan Bay in becoming the first harness horse to win slm is unlikely to be published this year. The Postmaster - General ('lr Scott) said today that the Post Office was considering a special issue to record the feat, but it took about 18 months to have a new stamp published. Trotting interests have made representations to Mr Scott and the Internal Affairs Department to have such a stamp issued. It would be the first New Zealand stamp to include a racehorse in its design.
