’Copters Hunt Elephants

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SAIGON, Sept. 16. American helicopter crews are hunting elephants in the dense jungle near the base camp of Camp Eagle with machine-guns.

United States sources claim that the elephants are not indigenous, but have been brought in as supply-bearers by the Viet Cong. The helicopter gunships, armed with rockets and machine-guns, have accounted for four supply-laden elephants in the last week.
