Lake, of Auckland, out of action with a broken leg, the New Zealand team is expected to be: D. Phillips (Canterbury). C. Latimour. W. Hunter (Auckland), D. Wallace (Wellington, captain). M. Ferguson (Otago), J. Saines, E. Thomas (Auckland), V. Pollard (Canterbury), C. Shaw (Auckland), T. Haydon (Canterbury), J. Legg (Auckland). The reserves would be N. Siebert (Auckland), Davis (Canterbury), and R. Mears (Auckland).
