Drainage Engineers: Duties will include programming, construction and supervision of major works done either by the drainage construction gangs or by contract. The works include tunnelling, pipe jacking, general pipe laying and concrete construction associated with culverts, pumping stations and treatment plants. Engineering registration is essential. Civil Design Engineers: Duties will involve the design associated with street construction and improvements, street upgrading in connection with the Wellington urban motorway, Street alterations for town planning proposals, and subdivisional development. This is an opportunity for registered civil engineers or graduate engineers to gain experience in a specialised field of local authority engineering, in urban street design with associated structures.
