Opinion On Coast TV
(From Our Own Reporter)
GREYMOUTH, Sept. 11. Television for the West Coast from Wellington rather than from Christchurch, would give the province “a wider and more interested audience,” whereas many persons in Christchurch were “ouite impervious to many of our problems,” said the Mayor of Greymouth (Dr B M. Dallas).
Commenting on an editorial in "The Press” on Tuesday morning, Dr Dallas told the standing committee of the Greymouth Borough Council that the new link would provide a better opportunity for the West Coast’s problems to be understood in the capital. The council supported the proposed Wellington link.
