(N.Z. Press Association) OAMARU, The Oamaru Jockey Club has had a loss of $4717 for the year ended July 3). Provision for d«f.reclatlon was $1363, The loss or tho previouo year was 34912. Tho club raced on only three days in the 1968 year against four days the previous year. Ono day had to be abandoned because of rein. For throe days racing this year the club paid taxation of 350.415, compared with *43.135 last year for four days racing. On-course betting in 1967 was *107,621. compared with *110,584 for 1968. Off-course the Imprave, ment was even more pronounced, the 1961 figure being *451,192. compared With *289.897 the previous year.
