Gift By Lions To Thais

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. Lions International (New Zealand) had given a filtration plant for a swimming pool in Thailand, the Minister of Defence (Mr Thomson) said today.

The swimming pool is being constructed at Mahasarakham, the Army engineers' base for the Thai-New Zealand road project in north-east Thailand.

The cost of building the pool—and a separate circular pool for children—will be borne by the Thai Government.

Mr Thomson said that the filtration plant would be flown to Mahasarakham by R.N.Z.A.F. aircraft.
