Summit Not Likely

President Johnson has said that he thought there was no immediate prospect of a summit meeting with Soviet leaders to discuss limitation of nuclear missiles. “We have no immediate plans for summit meetings—l see none in the offing at the moment,” he told a news conference. But Mr Johnson said he remained ready to go anywhere in the cause of peace and would not preclude the possibility of meeting any foreign head of State at some time if he felt it desirable. The President, who warned the Soviet Union against any similar action in Eastern Europe in a speech in Ssn Antonio, Texas, last Friday, was asked if he felt reassured about developments in the Communist bloc since then “We are very concerned about the situation in Eastern Europe,” he replied.
