Market Maintains Strength In Active Trading
The New Zealand eharemarket maintained ita strength on New Zealand stock exchangee yesterday, in heavy trading for a Monday. The overseas Hat was very firm, and in the New Zealand list rises outnumbered
falls by three to two. Leader* were firm. In»urane»* gained more ground; New Zealand row Bc, to 380 c, and South British recovered sc, to regain la*). Monday’* peak level of 500 c. Last week’* new* of oversea* participation In N.Z. Sea : Producer* camed the *hare« ' to gain a further 3c, to 34c. . Williamson, Jeffery reacted , to the announcement of a record year with a rise of lOe, . to 300 c. 8.H.P., which announced a 1:14 cash Issue at a 300 c pre- ' miuin last week, rose 200 c to 2320 c, in Christchurch. However, the shares failed to do as well in other centres; Dunedin was next highest with a closing sale of 2155 c, and Auckland and Wellington dosed at 2080 c. '
