Grace Hopes To Lift Div.
Directors of Grace Bros, Ltd, the Auckland furniture retailer, hope to recommend an increase in dividend from the 5 per cent struck last year, the chairman (Mr W. R. Budge) told the annual meeting. Savings In overheads plus some increase in sales should make it possible for a rise in dividend in the current year, he said. Sales for the first quarter of the current year were about the same level as for the same period last year although cash and monthly credit sales were up slightly. Hire - purchase sales showed little improvement.
