CHARGE OF ARSON
Detectives last evening arrested a man who will appear in the Magistrate’s Court today on charges of setting fire to the chapel in Knox Hall Bealey Avenue, on the evening of August 19, and attempting to set fire to a room in Knox Hall last Monday evening.
Fatal Epidemic.—One hundred and twenfy-five persons, mainy small children, have died from pneumonia or influenza since the outbreak of an influenza’epidemic in the Philippines last month.— Manila, September 3.
