Murder Attempt Alleged

AUCKLAND, Aug. 30.
Lance Alberto Bunge Krueger, aged 19, a brush hand, was today charged with the attempted murder on August 29 of James Arthur Skott. He faced further charges that, being armed with an offensive weapon, an axe, he robbed Skott of $6O, and that he assaulted Detective Sergeant C. E. Sturt in the execution of his duty. Mr E. F. Rothwell, S.M., remanded him in custody to September 6.
