Ngauruhoe In Eruption Again

(N.Z. Press Association)

NEW PLYMOUTH, August 30.

Mount Ngaruruhoe belched forth another ash shower early today in its sixth eruption within two weeks. The mountain’s northern slope is covered with a thick coating of ash, says the Tongatiro National Park's chief ranger, Mr J. Mazey, but nobody has been near it The exact time of the eruption could not be fixed because of thick cloud. More than Sin of snow fell at Mount Ruapehu today—and it was still snowing there tonight.
